Last night was the first time I realize where my heart truly is in regards to teaching. I really don't enjoy teaching cymbals. I like the visual aspect of teaching, and cymbals are visual, but not something that I like teaching. I have been wandering over to the guard practice every now and then and fixing some of their drill and dance stuff. They look really good and I'd like to think I had some help in that! Unfortunately, since I know basically nothing about guard and dancing, I can't go out and find a guard tech job. But seeing as how I know how to make things look good, I might as well start honing in on my ability to be a visual tech. Maybe this will be a better place for me in terms of finding a place to teach at long term. But enough about band and all that stuff.
I thought I had a lot more to say right now, but I guess not. I'll update this blog entry after my journalism class tonight because crazy things always happen there. For instance, this girl was talking about how she went for a job interview. And the lady that interviewed her was named Bambi. I asked if that was the lady's real name. Then this girl (who will remain nameless) got all uppity about me asking and got offended and said that "she is a very nice lady." Um, all I wanted to know is if that was her real name? Needless to say one of my other classmates and I had a good laugh for a solid 15 minutes. Hopefully something like that happens today so I have something else to blog about.
